The Institutional Relations Division supports the General Directorate and represents the interests of the Association in the political and institutional arenas.

The Division’s aims include:

• creating a consensus for Confindustria proposals and initiatives in the legislative and government institutions, political bodies and public administration;
• monitoring, analysis and intelligence on institutional activities, with special attention given to parliament, government, ministries, inter-institutional conferences;
• coordinating proposals and initiatives for the representation of Confindustria structures and its system, and safeguarding institutional interests; and
• Confindustria participation in the political-institutional debate through workshops, conferences, etc., on subjects of interest to the enterprise system.

Each day, the Division monitors the various phases of the governmental decision-making process, enabling it to promptly identify and evaluate opportunities arising from decisions.

Monitoring is followed by a primary analysis of the measures in question in order to rapidly identify the effects that the provisions will have on the relevant legislation in the Association’s fields of interest as well the scope for intervention.

Confindustria’s positions are made known to public sector decision-makers through participation in hearings and institutional meetings, as well as through face-to-face meetings with institutional contacts
